Kaulkin Information Systems (KIS) is a software and solution services company that offers simple, yet powerful and affordable, hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) enterprise document management, business process management (BPM), workflow risk mitigation and compliance technologies for heavily regulated and compliance-centric industry sectors.

The company’s flagship technology offering, KIS Track™, provides a comprehensive enterprise data management platform with multiple integrated application modules that are ideally suited for the unique needs of customers in a wide variety of vertical industry sectors including – financial services, banking/insurance, pharmaceuticals, healthcare/medical, legal services, government, telecomm and others.

KIS is one of the first technology and solution providers to make it affordable for small to mid-size enterprises (SMEs) to employ comprehensive BPM/workflow automation technologies using SaaS cost-savings while also addressing specific federal, state and industry-imposed regulatory compliance standards. This understanding and integration of compliance factors truly sets KIS technologies, solutions and intellectual property apart in the market.

The two founders/pricipals of Kaulkin Ginsberg Company (KGC) have served as primary venture investors for KIS since the company was formed in 2003. Founded in 1989, KGC is a recognized leader in providing M&A and other strategic advisory services for the business services industry.

Michael P. Binko, APR

President/CEO and BoD

Mike BinkoMichael P. Binko is President/CEO and a member of the Board of Directors for Kaulkin Information Systems (KIS). Prior to joining KIS, Binko was founder and Managing General Partner of Gemini Venture Development, an early-stage private equity and venture capital firm concentrating on technology companies in the software/SaaS, computing/communications, Internet, networking, enterprise data management, new media and other information technology sectors.

Prior to founding Gemini, Binko was with Xybernaut Corporation (NASDAQ: XYBR) where he served as vice president of corporate and business development. Concentrating on the markets of mobile computing and communications, Xybernaut is a leading intellectual property, technology and solution services company focused on wireless and mobile computing in numerous industry sectors.

Before joining Xybernaut, Binko co-founded, served as CMO and senior management executive for LaunchFuel Inc. – a Reston-VA based venture accelerator also working with emerging technology companies helping them become strong candidates for venture capital, private equity and other growth financing.

Prior to co-founding LaunchFuel, Binko directed corporate ventures and business development for PSINet Inc. (NASDAQ: PSIX). In this role, Binko was lead executive and principal negotiator for acquisitions and business combination in a wide variety of vertical industries. Previously with PSINet, Binko directed a variety of strategic sales, marketing and communication functions reporting directly to the chairman/CEO.

Before PSINet, Binko served in a variety of management functions at Stackig Inc., a TMP Worldwide (NYSE: TMP) full-service marketing communications, public relations and advertising firm. As counselor and senior account supervisor, Binko directed business development and provided guidance to technology clients in various sectors including -- networking, Internet, advanced operating systems, database management, business process re-engineering, workflow, enterprise resource management and others.

Binko earned Bachelor of Science degrees (with honors) in both Business Communications and English from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA. He has served as an instructor in the Corporate Ventures program with George Washington University (DC and VA), serves as a business evaluator for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and he is an accredited practitioner in the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) -- designated by APR.

Binko is also a graduate of MindShare -- and invitation-only program for CEOs of high-growth/disruptive emerging technology firms in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Marvin Kaulkin

Founder and Chairman

Marvin Kaulkin Marvin founded Kaulkin Ginsberg Company in 1989 to specialize in middle market mergers and acquisitions, and within two years became the leading M&A firm to the consolidating debt collection industry. Today the company is the leading strategic advisor to accounts receivable management and related business services companies, helping owners and executives succeed in their efforts to analyze, grow, or exit their businesses. Services include merger, acquisition, and valuation advice; market research; debt purchase and sales advice; operational consulting; and executive search. Kaulkin Ginsberg's media division publishes the most popular sources of timely industry information such as insideARM.com(TM) and The ARM Insider(TM).

In 2003 Marvin founded Kaulkin Information Systems (KIS) because he recognized a need for affordable, powerful, and simple to use technology for document management and compliance within heavily regulated industries like financial services and debt collection.

Previously, Marvin served as president of a financial advisory firm's M and A subsidiary serving business owners and individuals. From 1962-1982, he was President and CEO of a regional floor covering distributor servicing northeast and mid-Atlantic states.

Marvin is a member and former director of the Institute of Merger and Acquisition Professionals(IMAP), a member of the Association for Corporate Growth(ACG), and a member of the American Collectors Association(ACA). He has been a practicing Certified Financial Planner(CFP) and was a director of the National Capitol chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth(ACG). Marvin is considered an expert in the field of middle market mergers and acquisitions, and has authored many articles on this activity and the affairs of the debt collection industry. A graduate of Lafayette College, he has a B. S. degree in economics.

Stephanie Eidelman

Vice President and COO

Stephanie EidelmanSince 1999 Eidelman has been the Chief Operating Officer of KIS parent company, Kaulkin Ginsberg; however, Eidelman currenlty also serves as vice president and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for KIS.

Prior to joining Kaulkin Ginsberg, Eidelman held a variety of general management and senior operations roles with Citysearch (now Interactive Corp), an online city guide which was among the very first Internet start-up companies (funded by Bill Gross' Idealab).

Eidelman was responsible for establishing new markets across the United States and served as Cityserach's counselor-liaison to the newspaper industry in efforts to strategically manage their online efforts.

From 1996-1998 Eidelman was a materials manager with AlliedSignal Aerospace, where she led the turnaround of a $30 million manufacturing line and reengineered the plant's shipping and receiving operations. Before joining Allied Signal, Eidelman was a production manager for Disney's live entertainment group, where she was responsible for the execution of major concert and theatrical events.

Eidelman holds an MBA in Operations and Technology Management from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Organization Behavior from Northwestern University.

Jan Levine

Chief Technology Officer

Levine has been with Kaulkin Information Systems since 2003 and has been the primary champion and architect of the KIS Track technology platform.

Prior to joining Kaulkin Information Systems, Levine was President of Imageers, a software development, technology engineering and eCommerce company, specializing in Internet-based imaging, document management, enterprise content management, BPM/workflow and knowledge management systems. Clients included Arthur Andersen, Bank of China, Coty Cosmetics, Jefferson Pilot Securities Corporation (now Lincoln Financial Network), Simon and Schuster, and Tyco International.

He began his technology career as a programmer in 1978 and has since served at virtually all levels, technical and management, in the Information Technology industry. His background includes hardware, operating systems and applications program development, and he has had direct responsibility for managing more than 250 professionals involved in both strategic technology "roadmapping," implementation best-practices, enterprise IT integration and project management for both early-stage and Fortune 100 companies.

A seasoned business executive, Levine's background includes hands-on competencies in knowledge management, electronic commerce, business and operations, imaging and information systems integration, computer integrated manufacturing, transportation and distribution. He was a top-producing registered investment advisor/financial planner for a Top 100 broker-dealer in the Northeastern U.S. and served for five years as in-house technology counselor to Arthur Andersen in their NYC headquarters.

Rick Bean

Manager of Technical Services

Bean has been involved in engineering document mangagement technologies, intellectual property management and Solution Services since 1996, with Kaulkin Information Systems, Imageers, Inc. and Doxentrix, LLC. Bean is proficient in numerous programming languages, including C, C++, CSharp, Visual Basic (Client Server, Web Applications, Com Objects), Java (Client Applications, Applets, J2EE), MS .Net (C#, VB.Net, J++, Web Applications, Services) , PowerBuilder; and several databases including SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Access.

Additional past projects include: Created a Net C# web storefront for an automotive keyless entry company, created a Visual Basic 6 bill of materials system for a leading chemical/household products company, and created a fully automated C# application for a major mortgage company for print distribution of loan packages. As such Bean is an integral part of the KIS engineering team and a project lead for numerous Solution Services customers.

Anne Strong

Marketing Director

Anne StrongAnne coordinates all marketing activities for Kaulkin Ginsberg Advisory Services, Kaulkin Media, and Kaulkin Information Systems. Anne comes to Kaulkin Ginsberg with over 16 years of marketing experience in business services, consumer products, and broadcast media.

Before joining the company, Anne served as a marketing consultant to several B2B firms in Maryland and Virginia. In 2001, Anne was Marketing Director at ExecuNet, a Connecticut-based executive career management organization, where she developed and launched a new service line for executive recruiters. Anne has also been Product Manager for an IT research marketing firm and Creative Services Account Executive for a consumer products manufacturer. She began her odyssey as Promotion & amp; Marketing Director for a ClearChannel radio station.

Anne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Syracuse University.

Ted Meisel

Executive Advisor

Ted Meisel is an active board member and advisor to a range of organizations on digital economy strategy and operations.

He is the former CEO of Overture Services, which pioneered sponsored search advertising and made it a marketing staple. Meisel joined the company (originally GoTo.com) in late 1998 and led it to $1 billion in worldwide revenues by 2003, its fifth full year of operations. That same year, Yahoo! acquired Overture for $1.8 billion and he stayed on to integrate and run the newly-named Yahoo! Search Marketing as its president. At Yahoo!, Meisel tripled the division’s revenues, expanded its worldwide footprint, and led its integration with other Yahoo! units. He left Yahoo! in February 2006.

Before joining Yahoo!/Overture, Meisel was a member of the executive team at CitySearch, now a division of IAC/Interactive Corp. CitySearch became the leading internet city guide, ultimately absorbing its main competitor, Microsoft’s Sidewalk. Meisel’s primary focus was the development of the individual city guides, as well as the supporting software platform. His responsibilities included the areas of content, product management, product design, professional services, business development, and engineering.

Prior to CitySearch, he spent five years at McKinsey & Company serving media, telecommunications and financial services companies, and three years with Strategic Planning Associates (now Mercer Management Consulting) in Washington, D.C. and Singapore.

In addition to his business interests, Meisel is also an active board member of the Hope Street Group, a bipartisan group of business leaders and professionals devoted to revitalizing the American Dream, the opportunity for all Americans to achieve a better economic future for themselves and their families.

Meisel holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Stanford Law School, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
